Product Concept Development, Branding, and Packaging


Here's the story.

We created an instant coffee sub-brand for a premium national purveyor.

After the success of Barnie’s CoffeeKitchen®, Barnie’s Coffee & Tea Co. had a serious interest in entering the instant coffee market. The challenge presented to us was determining how to accomplish that while preserving the premium quality of their core product line and stand out in a highly competitive product category.

This was our approach.

We created a new sub-brand called pronto! that shared some of the Barnie’s CoffeeKitchen® brand elements while maintaining its own story of convenience married with great coffee taste. This water-soluble coffee concentrate was distributed through individual packets contained inside the retail box.

Our involvement was complete, beginning with product concept development all the way through retail marketing and advertising, once distributed nationwide to big box stores.

The packaging was unique and custom-created by our team with vibrant color-coding for each product SKU for easy consumer recall.

An original die-line was created and the final product was produced and distributed by a specialty packaging production and fulfillment company sourced by our team.

Box box retail distribution were major players in the launch of pronto! Among them, we collaborated with both the client and Walmart’s national buyer to finalize packaging specifications, including naming, logo and identity development, brand messaging, color palette, and paper engineering for packaging configuration options.
